History of Caldwell's, Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee Funeral Home
Caldwell’s, Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee Funeral Home was originally founded as the Holman and Lutz Colonial Mortuary in July of 1929. The Caldwell family joined the firm in the 1940’s, and went on to purchase the business, changing the name to Caldwell’s Colonial Mortuary and then to Caldwell’s Colonial Chapel. The business was sold in 1995, but continued under the Caldwell’s name until 2005 when Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee Funeral Directors, a funeral home with a predominantly Catholic client base located in NW Portland, closed its doors and merged with Caldwell’s. As we look to the future the firm of Caldwell’s, Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee Funeral Home will continue as a new stronger firm with a passion for serving our families in the best way possible.
